Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, praised the Faculty of Medicine and its societal role and sponsorship of the university hospital serving the Canal and Sinai regions, with distinguished cadres of the faculty’s doctors, announcing that he would provide full support to the Faculty of Medicine to develop its infrastructure, pointing out that university hospitals are witnessing comprehensive development and unprecedented efficiency upgrades in preparation To join the comprehensive health insurance system.

This came during the inauguration of the President of the University of the activities of the thirty-sixth annual scientific conference of the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, in cooperation between Suez Canal University and the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society, which will be held over two days.

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, under the general supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Sakka, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and under the executive supervision of Prof. Dr. Mervat El-Shabrawy, conference president and conference rapporteur, Dr. Mohamed Mounir.

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Anwar, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dalal Shawky, President of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society, and a distinguished elite of experts and scientists in the field of ophthalmology from inside and outside Egypt.

Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour added that this conference is a great opportunity for young doctors to exchange visions and refine experiences with other universities and learn about all that is new in the field of ophthalmology, wishing for the conference to reach meaningful practical recommendations.

While Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Sakka thanked Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour for his effective support to the College of Medicine, describing the President of the University as a first-class supporter, and he continued to thank Prof. Dr. Mervat Al-Shabrawy for her efforts that led to the emergence of the conference on time and with very distinguished data, wishing to reach recommendations that are applicable at the level service, research and education, noting that research conferences provide an enlightening power for new doctors.

On her part, Prof.Dr. Mervat Al-Shabrawy welcomed ophthalmologists from all departments of ophthalmology in Egyptian universities, the universities of America, Britain, the Emirates, Turkey and Lebanon. She was also keen to thank Dr. Mohamed Mounir, the rapporteur of the conference and the organizing company.

Prof. Dr. Mervat Al-Shabrawy presented the importance of the conference in getting acquainted with the new in the field of ophthalmology by benefiting from the results of the latest scientific research in addition to exchanging experiences with all specialists in this field.

Prof.Dr. Dalal Shawky also confirmed that the conference presents the latest methods and therapeutic developments in the field of ophthalmology, the use of the latest technologies and advanced medical devices, and the exchange of experiences with internal and external bodies, which will reflect positively on providing an outstanding medical service.

Prof. Dr. Dalal Shawky presented a 50-year-old commemorative medal from the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society to Prof.Dr. Nasser Mandour and Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Saqqa, wishing the conference success .
