Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mostafa Ghorab, President of Suez Canal University, the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences and the Indonesian Research and Studies Center at Suez Canal University organized a fifth international conference on “Civilization and Arab and Islamic heritage, creativity and originality”, held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Atef Abu El-Noor Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Adel Al-Saadani, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Executive Supervisor Dr. Hassan Yousif Director of the Center for Indonesian Studies, President of the Conference, Mr. Hassan Mohamed Noor, Director of Heritage Research Center, Civilization.
The conference lasted two days from 10 to 11 April, 2018, in the presence of Dr. Saeed Al Safa, former Indonesian Educational and Cultural Counselor, and Dr. Mohamed Saleh Tawfiq, former Dean of the Dar Eloloum “House of Science” in Cairo. The conference was attended by more than one Arab country: Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Algeria, UAE, Iraq, Jordan and Sudan.
The conference included five axes, the first of which is the Arab and Islamic civilization and history through the ages. The second axis is the creativity in the Arab sciences and literature, including literature, criticism, poetry, story, proverbs, and narratives, the third axis is the Arab and Islamic heritage and arts “architecture, arts, music, “The interpretation, the Hadith, the Fiqh, the Science of the Qur’an, the Philosophy” and the fifth axis is the heritage and the foresight “orientalist orientations in reading the heritage, the curricula of the study of the heritage of orientalists, the realization of the heritage and its methods and sources.
