Under the patronage of Prof. Dr Mamdouh Mostafa Ghorab, University President, the first phase of the Egyptian-Chinese Applied Technology College was inaugurated, which comes as a result of cooperation between the Suez Canal University, the Chinese side, the Misr Al-Kheir Foundation and the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity Society in Kuwait. The opening ceremony was attended by Major General Yasin Taher, Governor of Ismailia, Prof. Dr. Amr Adly, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education Affairs, in the presence of the Vice-Presidents of the University. Prof. Dr.Atef Abou El Nour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr.Magda Hagras, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr.. Nahed Mostafa, Advisor to the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Samy Hashim, Member of Parliament, Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, Dean of the College, and the Chinese side Mr. Song Bo Educational Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and the delegation accompanying him.
The study begins in the academic year 2018/2019 with the admission of high school students from scientific science and mathematical sciences through the coordination office. The Capabilities test for students admitted through the coordination office is conducted in English and mathematics examinations in addition to the personal interview. The College offers a technical bachelor’s degree in three majors: Communication Technology, Electronics Technology, and Mechatronic Technology. The study will be in English along with the study of some Chinese language courses. The college will also focus on practical and practical aspects and learn the technical skills of different disciplines. The opening ceremony also witnessed the presence of Ms. Hanan Al Rihani, Head of Education Sector at the Misr Al-Kheir Foundation and Ms, Mona Al-Shazly, Chief Presenter and Education Ambassador at the Foundation Misr Al-Kheir.
